FINISH HIM! Oh the joy that I felt when I finally heard those words spoken after much anticipation for the newest installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise. An even better word was FATALITY! Yes, the bloody, over the top fatalities are back and they are better than ever. The hype behind the game has well been worth it. Mortal Kombat is back in it's true form. This installment has taken all the best elements of Mortal Kombat games past and incorporated them into this glorious offering.
With the highly anticipated release of Gears of War 3 right around the corner (Sept 2011), it is no surprise we have a beta in our midst to get the salivary glands going. If you happened to have purchased the EPIC Edition of Bulletstorm, you got an invite to the beta. You can also get a code to the beta by pre-ordering Gears of War 3. Those that got their invite from Bulletstorm do get the advantage of starting the beta April 18th, all others have to wait until April 24th.
He's back. Our favorite hero from Enslaved is back in a DLC story custom made just for him. No, I'm not talking about Monkey, I'm talking about our portly pal from the junkyard... PIGGY!
I have to tell you, I was so totally pleased with this DLC offering. Not just because Enslaved was an awesome game, and not because it focuses around Piggy. It is because in my opinion this is by far the best DLC released for any game in a long while. This was a well thought out offering to continue the Enslaved story and it shows from the moment you start the quest.
Real world water physics in a video game, that's what you get from Hydrophobia. Using the HydroEngine, created by Dark Energy Digital, Hydrophobia is a game set in the mid-21st century after an event known as The Great Population Flood forces people off land. Taking place on board a luxury cruise ship the size of a city dubbed The Queen of the World, Hydrophobia offers a decent story-line combined with typical TPS (third-person shooter) controls.
